Maria-Antonietta D’Agostino, MD, PhD is Professor of Rheumatology at Versailles-Saint-Quentin University (INSERM U1173), and APHP, University Hospital Ambroise Paré, France, and Honorary
Professor at Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine, Leeds University, UK.
Her major research interest is the validation of imaging (in particular ultrasound) as outcome measureme in clinical trials of chronic rheumatic diseases (mainly RA, PsA/SpA and OA).
She engages in a wide range of research, ranging from the methodological and proof-of-concept approach through to large national and international clinical trials. She has published several major papers in the eld.
She is an OMERACT Executive Member, co-leader of the imaging/biomarkers theme. She is mentor and founder of the OMERACT Ultrasound Working Group, faculty member of the EULAR and EFSSUMB courses on ultrasound in Rheumatology, and she served as Chair of the EULAR Standing Committee on Musculoskeletal Imaging from 2011 to 2015.
